What is Bonded Polyester Sewing Thread?
Bonded polyester sewing thread is short for bonded polyester sewing thread.
Bonded filament polyester sewing thread is its official name in China, national quality standard number: is FZ/T 63027-2015.
The bonded polyester sewing thread is made of high-quality environmentally-friendly polyester filaments that are twisted and bonded. There are two types of outer bonding (outer Bondi) and inner bonding (inner Bondi), with two options of soft and special strong bonding, and then after high-efficiency lubrication treatment.
What are the advantages of bonded polyester sewing thread?
Bonded polyester sewing thread has a protective coating that resists abrasion, needle friction, and heat when sewing at high speeds. Bonding also helps prevent unraveling, which is sewing thread that doesn’t stray, which helps improve sewing efficiency.
It’s important to note that the bond line on the spool will be slightly darker in color. The color will lighten as you sew.

The V size is the common US measurement for twisted, multi-ply bonded nylon or polyester threads. Larger numbers indicate heavier threads.
The T sizes represent the “Tex” measurement system, where the number equals the weight in grams of 1000 meters of thread. If 1,000 meters weigh 70 grams, it is a Tex 70 thread. Larger numbers indicate heavier threads.
Please note that the “Tkt” (Ticket) sizes are equivalent to the Metric “M” thread sizes used in some countries. Smaller numbers indicate heavier threads.
