What is Fishing Twine
A strong thread or string consisting of two or more strands of polyester or nylon yarn twisted together for weaving fishing nets.
Fishing Twine, less than 4 mm diameter, is the main thread used for making hard fishing nets, which perfectly applies to weave mesh and sew or knot net fishing gear.
The fishing threads are widely made of artificial polyamides like nylon6 or polypropylene (Never use Nylon 66 because it is too expensive. Nylon 66 is the wrong choice for fishing nets), because nylon twine has better strength. Meanwhile, 100% polyester fishing twines are also popular for commercial fishing rope.
In our years of industry experience, we found that most of the nominal 100% nylon fish silk on the market is polyester yarn, which is not what an honest businessman should do.

Polyester has no loss in strength when wet.

Abrasion
Polyester is much more abrasion resistant compared to
nylon, he empahsized this as one of the big positives
for polyester.
